If you’re a returned serviceman, you may be entitled to government-funded dental treatment via the Department of Veteran Affairs. At Aberdeen Dental Centre, we accept Department of Veteran Affairs card (DVA) for all your dental treatments.

 

Who is eligible for DVA dental treatment?

DVA Gold Card holders
DVA White Card holders with accepted dental conditions
Some DVA White Card holders under specific treatment programs

What types of cards provide dental coverage?

Gold Card

Full dental coverage
No prior approval needed for most general dental services


White Card

Coverage only for accepted conditions
May require prior approval for certain treatments

Finding a Dentist


How do I find a DVA dental provider?

Any registered dentist can provide DVA services
Contact DVA directly for a list of preferred providers
Ask your local dental clinic if they accept DVA patients

 

What if my regular dentist doesn't accept DVA?

You can switch to a DVA provider in Albany.
Your current dentist may be willing to register for DVA services.
DVA can assist in finding an alternative provider.

How does payment work?

Providers bill DVA directly
No out-of-pocket expenses for approved treatments
Prior approval may be required for some services
