$1,000 Free Dental For Kids*
Your child may be eligible for up to $1,000 in basic dental services under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule. This is an Australian Federal Government scheme, and your child may be eligible for up to $1,000 per year in certain dental treatments.
What Dental Treatments are Included in the Schedule?
Some of the dental treatments that are included are dental examinations, x-rays, cleaning & scaling, fillings, extractions, and also partial dentures.
Benefits that are not available on the Schedule are cosmetic dental, nor orthodontic work.

What is the CDBS?
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule is a program that is run by the Australian Government, that covers dental treatment for up to $1,000 per year, per eligible child.

What Children are Eligible for Free Dental Treatment?
The Schedule covers children aged between 2 – 17 years
The Schedule covers kids who are eligible for Medicare
The family of the child must be receiving a relevant Government payment such as the Family Tax Benefit A

Want to Find Out If Your Child is Eligible for the CDBS?
You can confirm your child's eligibility by accessing your Medicare online account at my.gov.au. Eligible families should receive a letter to confirm eligibility which is determined each calendar year.

Please tell our receptionist if you intend to use this scheme to enable us to assist you to claim your benefit from Medicare. Parents are required to remain in the Practice for the entire appointment; the Government has stipulated that we have to obtain your verbal and written consent for treatment - something we always do whether you are using CDBS or not.
